Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Systems Engineer or Safety Assurance Engineers to work on an exciting and complex brownfield rail project in Southeast QLD. Mid-level to Senior Engineers are encouraged to apply.

The role is with an established SESA specialist which boasts a strong portfolio of major programs on the east coast. As the role requires someone who can hit the ground running, prior rail experience is required for this position.

Location-             Brisbane, QLD

Duration-             Permanent, Monday-Friday, Standard Hours

Salary-                $130,000 - $150,000 + Super

Benefits-             Hybrid (1-2 WFH days)  

Responsibilities

  • Producing works associated with Systems Engineering and Safety assurance including but not limited to:

    • Safety Assurance

    • Systems Engineering

    • Requirements Management

    • V&V

    • System Architecture development

    • Goal Structured Notation

    • Systems Integration

  • Develop Safety Case Reports, Assurance plans, Hazard/Safety Analyses

  • Conduct requirements verification and develop test cases and procedures.

  • Assist in Tender preparation

  • Display a deep understanding of safety assurance in the context of conventional or modern signalling systems, working with a range of OEMs and operators.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards incl.

    • EN 50126/8/9

    • ISO 15288

      or;

    • AS61508

  • Confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders including operators, government, contractors

Required Experience

  • Bachelors Engineering – Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Civil or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering posts
  • Prior use of Requirements Management tools such as DOORS Classic or NG
  • Commercial / Consultative acumen – confident in communication
  • Basic understanding of Rail Safety National Law, EN5012x
  • Sound knowledge of principles associated with the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook or iESM Handbook
