This opportunity supports project contracting across major engineering and construction activity within a refinery and chemical complex environment. The role focuses on contracting strategy, contract development, commercial analysis, contract administration, subcontracting oversight, and contract close-out. This position offers the chance to contribute to complex project execution by helping maintain strong contractual governance, effective change control, and high-quality contract delivery.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a closely related position.

  • Experience in commercial negotiations, contractor management, and contract administration.

  • Broad understanding of project execution and contracting principles, theories, and concepts.

  • Ability to support or lead the development of project contracting strategy, contractor qualification, tender processes, and proposal evaluation.

  • Capability to prepare contracting plans, invitation to tender packages, contractual correspondence records, and final contract files.

  • Strong contract administration skills, including change control, invoicing and payment process coordination, subcontracting oversight, and contractor performance measurement.

  • Ability to review contract terms and conditions, support contested term negotiations, and coordinate contract documentation through award and close-out.

  • Confidence in coordinating internal and external contract kick-off activities and advising project teams on contract administration and subcontracting issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Contracts Engineering / Administration.

  • BS in Engineering.

  • Owner/Operator experience in project management roles.

  • Professional qualification or certification from a related professional body, such as ISM CPM, CPSM, APICS, or PMP.

  • Willingness to travel for business or relocate to project sites, domestic or overseas.
