Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Control Engineer to support the development of embedded software solutions within a highly regulated product development environment. This role will focus on AUTOSAR-based software development, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design, configure, and integrate software components while ensuring compliance with industry standards and functional safety requirements.
The successful candidate will bring strong embedded C programming experience together with expertise in AUTOSAR Basic Software modules and automotive development processes.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain embedded software solutions using C
Design, configure, and integrate AUTOSAR software components
Support software development activities across the full product lifecycle
Analyse and troubleshoot software and system-level issues
Collaborate with systems, software, and validation teams to ensure successful delivery
Support software integration, testing, and debugging activities
Ensure compliance with Functional Safety and Automotive SPICE processes
Review software requirements, designs, and implementation documentation
Participate in technical discussions and support continuous improvement activities
Contribute to software quality, performance, and reliability initiatives
Requirements
Strong programming experience in Embedded C
Experience with ASPICE
Proven hands-on experience in at least one AUTOSAR Basic Software domain:
Communication (COM)
Diagnostics (DIAG)
Non-Volatile Memory (NVM)
Functional Safety
Experience working within Automotive SPICE development environments
Strong understanding of ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Strong communication skills and fluent English
Desirable Experience
Experience within power electronics or motor control ECU development
Familiarity with Vector AUTOSAR authoring and configuration tools
Knowledge of ISO 21434 Automotive Cybersecurity requirements
Experience with bootloader and boot management concepts
Strong understanding of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocols
Knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229), Network Management, DEM, and DET diagnostic concepts
Experience working within automotive, transportation, or embedded systems environments
