Job Title: Control & Safety System Engineer
Duration: 6-12 months
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-time
Location: Nanterre
This opportunity is suited to a technical engineering professional supporting Control & Safety System studies within an oil and gas project environment. The role focuses on ICSS, DCS/SIS specifications, functional documentation, interface management, and validation activities linked to control, safety, and fire & gas systems. This position offers involvement across basic and detailed engineering work while contributing to quality-driven project delivery in an English-language documentation environment.
Required Experience:
- Engineering experience at senior level with 10+ years in Control & Safety System activities
- Experience in oil and gas Control & Safety Systems
- Experience supporting offshore and onshore ICSS engineering and networking environments
- Experience preparing or revising technical specifications, control system architectures, and functional specifications
- Experience participating in basic and detailed engineering studies and coordinating internal and external interfaces
- Experience supporting validation activities related to control, safety, and fire & gas installation aspects
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of DCS, SIS, and ICSS engineering documentation
- Ability to prepare functional analysis, control narratives, cause and effect matrices, and logic diagrams
- Knowledge of oil and gas processes and fire & gas rules
- Knowledge of ICSS installation and validation aspects
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary internal and external interfaces
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Visio
- English language proficiency for technical documentation and reporting
- Ability to report effectively to the Lead Engineer
- Knowledge of applicable standards including ISA 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, IEC 61511, and IEC 62443
Preferred Qualifications:
- IEC 61511 certification
- TÜV or QUALI-SIL certification
