This opportunity sits within a refinery and chemical complex environment, supporting the stand-up of a synthetic graphite facility through detailed project controls, planning and schedule review activity. The role focuses on cost estimating, project planning, scheduling, change control and progress stewardship across FEED, commissioning and start-up phases. This position offers the chance to contribute to high-value project delivery by identifying schedule vulnerabilities, supporting reporting activity and strengthening project controls performance.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
Significant project controls experience, including planning, scheduling and cost control within complex project environments
Experience across brownfield and turnaround projects
Background supporting schedule integration from FEED through commissioning and start-up
Previous experience in a closely related position
Experience coordinating progress reporting and supporting regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements
Advanced proficiency in cost estimating, project planning and project controls
Strong Primavera P6 proficiency
High-level schedule summary development and schedule analytics capability
Strong resource-loaded schedule evaluation skills
Strong progress measurement and progress stewardship capability, including Strategic Key Milestones
Ability to maintain change control and cost reporting processes
Strong knowledge of AWP processes
Ability to review start-up schedules and identify vulnerabilities
Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical and computing skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to organise, plan, control, coordinate and manage cross-functional activities effectively
Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to broker successful solutions across internal coordination groups
Preferred Qualifications:
Owner and EPC experience
Bachelor’s degree in I&E Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
