Airswift is partnering with Elecnor to support their blue-collar recruitment across their Australia & New Zealand operations.

We are current looking for Depot Storeperson to join Elecnor’s team out of their Truganina, Melbourne location on a permanent basis.

The Position

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the depot store and yard independently, often without supervision
  • Receive, inspect and store incoming materials, plant and equipment, checking deliveries against orders and delivery documentation
  • Issue, load and dispatch materials, plant and equipment to the crew and work sites as required
  • Operate forklift and other lifting equipment to load and stack materials
  • Maintain safe storage, stacking and segregation of materials
  • Maintain accurate stock records of receipts, issues, transfers and returns, and conduct regular stocktakes
  • Monitor stock levels and raise replenishment requests in line with Company procurement procedures
  • Conduct pre-start and post-operational checks on depot plant and equipment, and report defects promptly
  • Carry out general yard duties, including housekeeping, rubbish removal and waste and recycling management
  • Undertake basic maintenance and minor repairs of the depot facility, and arrange external service providers for work outside the scope of the role
  • Manage depot access and security, including opening and locking up the facility
  • Liaise with field crews, Procurement, suppliers and transport providers on deliveries, collections and priorities
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility, Report hazards, incidents and near misses, and promote high standards of Health, Safety and Environment at the depot
  • Be the main point of contact for the facility, liaise with building management/real estate

 

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years storeperson, warehouse or yard experience, ideally in the construction or the electrical industry
  • Experience using inventory or stock management systems
  • Understanding of safety processes and systems
  • White Card
  • Current Australian “C” Class Driver’s Licence
  • Forklift High Risk Work Licence
  • Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s licence preferred
  • First Aid certificate
  • Valid Australian working rights
