Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Digital Officer to manage all digital-related activities for a major oil & gas facility project. This role will act as the main focal point for digital solutions, information management, and digital transformation initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with engineering teams, IT, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure digital systems, data management processes, and digital technologies are delivered safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Project Leadership

  • Act as the single point of contact for all digital-related topics within the project.
  • Lead and coordinate all digital initiatives for the project.
  • Develop and maintain the project's digital roadmap and implementation plan.
  • Ensure digital solutions align with company digital strategy and business objectives.
  • Monitor progress and performance of digital activities throughout project execution.

Contractor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and coordinate EPC contractors, vendors, consultants, and digital solution providers.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, IT, cybersecurity, and project teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, technical reviews, and progress discussions.
  • Ensure all stakeholders remain aligned on project digital objectives.

Digital Solutions & Digital Twin

  • Oversee the development and implementation of Digital Twin and other digital technologies.
  • Review digital system architecture, specifications, and technical deliverables.
  • Ensure digital solutions are practical, safe, and fit for operational use.
  • Support the integration of digital systems across the project.

Information Management

  • Act as Information Management Officer for the project.
  • Ensure project data, documents, and information are properly governed and controlled.
  • Implement company information management standards and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with data governance and document management requirements.
  • Promote effective data sharing and collaboration across project teams.

Digital Governance & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain digital governance processes and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with company standards and project requirements.
  • Review and approve digital documentation and technical submissions.
  • Identify and manage deviations, technical concerns, and improvement opportunities.

Risk & Project Controls

  • Monitor digital project schedules, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Identify technical, execution, and schedule risks.
  • Assess impacts and provide recommendations to project management.
  • Support project reviews, audits, and stage-gate assessments.

HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)

  • Ensure all digital solutions meet HSE and operational safety requirements.
  • Support HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, CHAZOP, and other safety reviews.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the digital team and contractor organizations.
  • Participate in safety meetings, briefings, and project reviews.
  • Ensure digital designs support safe and reliable facility operations.

Change Management & Digital Adoption

  • Promote digital culture across project teams.
  • Organize training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs.
  • Communicate new digital initiatives and best practices.
  • Support user adoption of digital tools and technologies.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Engineering, Information Management, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in major oil & gas, energy, EPC, or industrial projects.
  • Experience managing digital transformation, information management, or digital engineering initiatives.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Exposure to Digital Twin, engineering information management, asset data management, or smart plant technologies is preferred.
