Overview
We are pleased to exclusively recruit a Director Systems Engineering & Safety Assurance to join a specialist consultancy and play a key role in the continued growth of its NSW Division. Working alongside an established leadership team, this role will contribute to the collective leadership, performance and growth of the SESA business, with a particular focus on business development, client engagement and market expansion across a range of civil infrastructure sectors.
Whilst Transport/Rail is expected to form the backbone of your experience, you will also demonstrate a proven track record or strong interest in expanding into adjacent markets such as Energy, Transmission, Water/Utilities, Aviation and Data Centres.
Location- Sydney, NSW
Duration- Permanent, Full-time
Salary- $250,000 - $300,000 + Super (negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of systems engineering and safety assurance services across complex infrastructure projects, applying a holistic, end-to-end systems approach
Provide technical leadership across systems engineering, integration, requirements management, V&V, safety assurance (an appreciation of RAM and Human Factors will be highly desirable also)
Work within a collaborative leadership team, contributing to the performance, strategy and growth of the NSW SESA business
Drive business development and client engagement, including identifying opportunities, leading proposals and growing key accounts - helping the company expand into a range of market sectors
Support team growth through mentoring, capability development and fostering a high-performance culture
- Manage a small team of direct reports (SESA Engineers)
Required Experience
- Australian working rights
- Qualification in Engineering or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering frameworks and assurance standards, including ISO 15288 and EN 50126/8/9.
- Familiar with INCOSE Framework (Preferably CSEP or ASEP)
- Broader appreciation of disciplines such as RAM and Human Factors
- Proven history of winning work in key infrastructure markets such Transport, Energy, Transmission, Water/Utilities, Data Centres, Aviation/Airports
- Strong proposal, tender and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
