Job Title: Document Controller
Duration: 12 months extendable contract
Schedule: Starting October 2026
Location: Milan, Italy 

This opportunity offers the chance to support project information management within a major oil and gas development environment. The role is focused on document control, Electronic Document Management Systems, and the secure handling, routing, and distribution of project documentation across engineering and site locations. This position will play an important part in maintaining information integrity, supporting project delivery, and contributing to digitalisation and process efficiency.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a document controller on major oil and gas projects
  • Professional experience gained from at least two different roles related to engineering and/or supplier document control on projects or business assets
  • Experience ideally gained in an operator environment with full lifecycle project exposure
  • Experience supporting project information handover activities and maintaining document registers and distribution matrices

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of project document control processes, procedures, standards and tools
  • Experience using Electronic Document Management Systems, MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat and scanning software
  • Ability to manage document capture, quality assessment, coding, updating, review routing and distribution
  • Ability to check the integrity and completeness of project information within an EDMS environment
  • Strong coordination skills to interface with internal discipline teams, package teams, contractors and other document controllers
  • Ability to respond to document queries, status requests and support accurate master document register maintenance
  • Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • French language skills
  • Portuguese language skills
