Airswift is looking for a Drilling Operations Manager (Strong expertise across the entire drilling operation cycle) to work on a permanent contract in Villahermosa, Tabasco, México with a drilling services company.
Professional experience in continuous improvement and operational excellence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish technical safety plans based on the criticality of equipment, materials, and services.
Define and verify control points, hold points, acceptance criteria, and release evidence.
Conduct inspections at factories, high-level sites, yards, bases, and well sites when warranted by risk.
Monitor performance and early warning signs through operational data, observation, and dialogue with personnel.
Lead multidisciplinary technical investigations focused on mechanisms and systemic causes.
Separate the technical investigation process from disciplinary, contractual, and claims processes.
Translate findings into applicable standards and verify their effectiveness.
Build capabilities through coaching, hands-on training, and evidence-based feedback.
Communicate conclusions, uncertainties, risks, and required decisions in a direct, executive manner.
Maintain sufficient traceability to ensure decisions and supporting evidence are auditable.
Safeguard technical independence and escalate any pressure to prejudge causes or close cases without evidence.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced English
Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Advanced specialization in Drilling Engineering, Well Control, Well Integrity, Project Management, or related areas is highly desirable.
Professionals with experience as Company Man or Operations Managers who understand every stage of the drilling operation.
Oil & Gas industry experience.
Experience in drilling, completions, well construction, contractor management, and project leadership
