Position Overview
This position offers the opportunity to support electrical design engineering projects at a nuclear generation facility. The role is focused on delivering technical engineering support for plant modification and upgrade activity within a highly regulated environment. This opportunity will suit a technically strong professional with nuclear modification engineering experience who can work independently while contributing effectively within a project team. The role requires sound engineering judgement, clear communication and a disciplined approach to design development and review.

Key Responsibilities
Develop design packages for electrical engineering projects within the engineering organisation.
Serve as Lead Technical Engineer and/or Responsible Engineer on assigned projects.
Prepare conceptual designs and technical specifications for bidding purposes.
Evaluate design alternatives and provide technical recommendations to support project delivery.
Provide technical support during project implementation and coordinate design efforts with external vendors, architect-engineers and designers.
Develop setpoints and carry out design package reviews for electrical system modifications and upgrades.
Qualifications & Experience
Current or previous qualification at a nuclear utility as a Modification Engineer under an INPO Accredited Program within the past five years.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as a qualified Modification Engineer within the past five years.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional engineering environment.
Proven capability in researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives and presenting sound technical recommendations.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Professional Engineer registration or licensure is desirable.
Electrical engineering experience within a nuclear plant environment is desirable.
Knowledge of 10CFR50.59 in relation to modification design within a nuclear facility is desirable.
