Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: Full time
Location: Luxembourg
This opportunity is with a global engineering, technology and consulting service provider supporting business transformation, operational excellence and innovation across complex products, manufacturing processes and information systems. The role offers involvement in electrical design, printed circuit boards, EMI/EMC compliance and functional safety activities within a technically demanding environment. This position will contribute across design, validation and manufacturing support while working closely with cross-functional teams and international sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve electrical design requirements applicable to the project.
- Develop worst-case analysis for each requirement.
- Develop complete schematics and finalise the bill of materials.
- Create and release documentation in line with the product development process.
- Lead printed circuit board layout activities in collaboration with ECAD.
- Support validation teams during design validation and process validation phases.
- Support manufacturing development and test teams located in manufacturing plants.
- Participate actively in electrical DFMEA activities.
- Follow the in-house bill of design and report status accurately.
- Execute project activities in a timely manner.
- Plan, prepare and execute tests.
- Interact with customers and collaborate with other sites across different regions.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Required)
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
- Experience in electronics design for EMI/EMC compliance
- Experience with Functional Safety ISO26262 and FMEDA
- Experience with effective problem-solving methodologies
- Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office, CAD programs and simulation tools
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across functions
- Positive and cooperative mindset that supports trust and teamwork
Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous design experience in power electronics
