Electrical Engineering Technician III
Duration: Initially 1 year with possibility of extension / becoming permanent
Location: Spring, Texas
Rotation: 7/7 or 14/14 - 1 hitch days, 1 hitch nights

Role Context
This role sits within an industrial field maintenance environment focused on electrical maintenance, lighting, air conditioning, motor maintenance, and electrical isolation activities. The position typically reports to a supervisor or manager and includes supporting operational electrical work while providing guidance to lower-level staff on more complex tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support field electrical maintenance activities and electrical isolation procedures including lock out tag out.
- Assist with maintenance work relating to lighting, air conditioning, and motor systems.
- Assemble, test, and modify electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, circuitry, and components in line with engineering specifications.
- Diagnose causes of malfunctions or equipment failures and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Record maintenance and fault data and recommend equipment modification or replacement where required.
- Provide guidance to lower-level staff when dealing with more complex technical problems.
- Communicate field conditions clearly and concisely and recommend appropriate remediation steps.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working as Electrical Technician / I&E Technician / Electrician within the Oil & Gas industry
- Discipline-appropriate certification(s), where applicable, or equivalent professional experience.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to describe field conditions clearly and recommend remediation steps.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Electrical high-voltage power transmission and distribution experience.
- Electrical dispatch operations experience.
- Knowledge of SCADA platforms.
- Functional knowledge of SeeQ Analytics Software.
- Instrumentation, controls, and electrical experience.
