This opportunity is suited to an experienced electrical engineering professional looking to lead and support a team delivering design, development and testing activities across electrical components, equipment and machinery. The role offers the chance to contribute to discipline engineering work, support engineering and design routines, and help ensure work is delivered in line with company specifications, standards and regulatory requirements. This position also plays an important part in maintaining clear communication across engineering teams and other business functions.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience

Required Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience.

  • Experience supervising a team of electrical engineers involved in the design, development and testing of electrical components, equipment and machinery

  • Experience with power distribution,  transmission lines and substations

  • Experience with high voltage 

  • Broad and extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes and appropriate safety criteria

  • Experience evaluating and commenting on discipline engineering work performed internally and by contractors and sub-contractors to help ensure alignment with company specifications, standards and regulatory requirements

  • Experience supporting effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines aligned with team goals, objectives and procedures

Required Skills:

  • Strong electrical engineering capability across design, development and testing activities

  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads and frequent changes in priorities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

  • Clear communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills

  • Fluent English, including reading, writing and speaking for technical and business communication

  • Ability to support accurate and timely communication on engineering activities, progress and issues across teams and company functions
