Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: 9/80 on site
Location: Quintana, TX
This opportunity sits within a capital project environment, supporting electrical scope development from concept through commissioning. The role offers broad technical involvement across power systems, Management of Change, design review, construction coordination, and commissioning activities. This position will contribute to safe, compliant project delivery while working closely with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Required Education:
- BS in Electrical Engineering.
Required Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of high voltage and medium voltage power systems and large motor applications.
- Experience reviewing and approving electrical engineering deliverables, including single line diagrams, protection and control schematics, cable schedules, cable routing, equipment specifications, and vendor drawings.
- Ability to perform and/or review power system studies including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash.
- Experience supporting equipment selection and technical bid evaluations for transformers, switchgear, motor control centres, large motors, and variable frequency drives.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards including NEC, IEEE, ANSI, and NFPA 70E.
- Familiarity with protective relaying, including SEL systems, and coordination philosophies.
- Experience with grounding, bonding, and lightning protection design.
- Proficiency with engineering software such as ETAP or equivalent, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Required Certifications:
- Valid/current TWIC card (Required).
