About the Role:
We are partnering with a leading organisation delivering major renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Australia to appoint an experienced Electrical Supervisor on an initial 12 month contract.
This is a hands-on site leadership role responsible for overseeing Electrical Balance of Plant (BoP) construction activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with project management, commissioning, engineering and contractor teams, you will play a key role in driving construction outcomes and supporting successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all electrical construction activities on site.
- Supervise day-to-day Electrical BoP construction works, coordinating contractors and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure installations are completed in accordance with project specifications, standards, approved drawings and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor construction progress, productivity and workforce utilisation, identifying and addressing potential delays.
- Conduct quality inspections, verify compliance with ITPs and support the close-out of defects and non-conformances.
- Coordinate construction interfaces with civil, mechanical, commissioning, HV, grid connection and design teams.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, energisation activities and project handover requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, workforce competency and compliance with project and contractual requirements.
- Prepare site reports, maintain project documentation and communicate project risks, issues and mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives while promoting accountability, collaboration and excellence in project execution.
About You:
- Electrical trade qualification with relevant licences and certifications.
- Proven experience supervising Electrical Balance of Plant (BoP) construction and execution on utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of substation, HV/MV reticulation, underground and overhead electrical infrastructure construction activities.
- Demonstrated experience managing contractors, subcontractors and multiple work fronts during project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety, quality management, inspections, testing and commissioning processes.
- Experience supporting energisation, commissioning and project handover activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across engineering, construction, commissioning and project delivery teams.
- Ability to identify, manage and escalate project risks while maintaining project schedules and delivery objectives.
