This opportunity supports a major detail design EPC project focused on water handling infrastructure and electrical engineering deliverables within a complex oil and gas environment. The role is centred on reviewing and assuring electrical design quality, technical compliance, and engineering performance across systems including transformers, motors, switchgear, MCCs, distribution networks, and power system automation. This position offers the chance to contribute to project design basis development, procurement support, FAT attendance, and high-value engineering assurance work.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a BA in Science with a focus in Electrical Engineering
Required Experience:
10–15 years of experience in electrical design, engineering, and construction
Experience managing electrical engineering activities during FEED and design phases on EPC projects
Experience reviewing design packages for electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, motors, generators, high-voltage and low-voltage switchgear, MCCs, distribution networks, control equipment, and power outlets
Experience supporting project execution in line with international industrial standards and established engineering practices
Experience supporting technical bid evaluation, material requisitions, award recommendations, and change order review
Experience attending equipment Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and other international electrical standards, best practices, and value practices
Ability to prepare project design basis documents, load lists, technical reports, technical specifications, and electrical engineering package approvals
Ability to review drawings, datasheets, detailed scopes of work, calculations, bills of material or quantity, cost estimates, hazardous area classification, and system studies
Familiarity with analogue and digital control systems, including Power System Automation (PSA), DCS, PLC, and SCADA controls
Experience using ETAP or similar electrical transient analysis software, along with Microsoft Office
Strong capability in technical analysis, problem solving, planning and organising, and open, effective communication
Ability to support engineering teams to maintain facility integrity in terms of HSE and engineering quality
Ability to assess contractor performance and ensure compliance with applicable design standards, codes, regulations, and accepted work practices
Thorough knowledge of English for technical analysis, studies, and professional presentations
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Engineer
