Job Title:

 Electronic Systems Engineer MAX
Duration: 6 months renewable
Schedule: Full-time (Monday-Friday)
Location: Bascharage, Luxembourg (min 3 days onsite)

This opportunity focuses on AUTOSAR basic software development for power electronics control modules within a structured automotive engineering environment. The role involves requirements analysis, software design, embedded C development and verification, with particular relevance to AUTOSAR, diagnostics and functional safety. This position offers the chance to contribute to real-time embedded software delivery while working closely with system, hardware and application software engineers.

Required Education:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering

Required Experience:

  • Expert-level background in basic software engineering for embedded systems

  • Hands-on experience in at least one AUTOSAR Basic Software domain such as COM, diagnostics, non-volatile memory, or Functional Safety Level 3

  • Experience working on embedded software for power electronics control modules

  • Experience operating within standardised development processes including Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 functional safety frameworks

  • Experience performing software verification on test bench and vehicle

Required Skills:

  • Strong programming capability in C for embedded systems

  • Ability to analyse and clarify software requirements for AUTOSAR basic software modules

  • Design expertise across AUTOSAR communication stack including COM, PDU Router and NM

  • Knowledge of diagnostic integration including UDS, DCM and DEM

  • Knowledge of non-volatile memory services and safety mechanisms associated with Safety Level 3 concepts

  • Ability to develop real-time embedded software through manual coding and/or configuration and generation of AUTOSAR BSW modules using industry-standard tools

  • Ability to create and maintain software documentation including design documents, test plans and test results

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and time-management skills

  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in power electronics or motor control ECUs

  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR authoring and configuration tools from Vector

  • Experience with cybersecurity practices and standards, especially ISO 21434

  • Hands-on experience with bootloader or boot management concepts

  • Strong knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, LIN and Ethernet

  • Experience with diagnostic concepts including UDS (ISO 14229), Network Management and fault management (DEM/DET)
