Overview

We are currently recruiting 2x Environmental Consultants at the junior, mid or senior advisor level to work across an exciting portfolio of projects within the Sydney and Central Coast regions. The company boasts several key projects within Transport, Water and Buildings sectors. As there will be an element of site-based work, those coming from a delivery contractor background will be looked upon favourably.  

This is an excellent opportunity for environmental professionals who enjoy a mix of site-based project work, office-based consulting and the ability to work across a variety of projects at one time.

Location-             Sydney or Central Coast

Duration-             Permanent, Full-time – Hybrid between Office, Site and WFH.

Salary-                $90,000 - $150,000 + Super

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of environmental and sustainability services on multidisciplinary infrastructure and building projects.
  • Prepare environmental management plans, strategies, approvals and compliance documentation.

  • Assist with environmental approvals and planning processes, including Reviews of Environmental Factors (REFs), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and other regulatory submissions.

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, toolbox talks and environmental monitoring activities.

  • Work collaboratively with project teams, contractors, clients and regulatory authorities to achieve environmental outcomes.

  • Collect, analyse and interpret environmental data and prepare technical reports.

  • Monitor project performance against environmental obligations, project controls and KPIs.

  • Assist with identifying commercial opportunities and supporting business development activities.

  • Stay current with environmental legislation, planning requirements and industry best practice.

Required Experience

  • Degree qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Planning or a related discipline

  • Has worked for a delivery contractor within the civil infrastructure domain, such as water, road, rail, utilities or buildings.

  • Sound understanding of environmental legislation, planning approval processes and regulatory requirements, combined with strong report writing, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
