We are seeking an experienced Environmental/Regulatory Technician II to support environmental compliance, regulatory permitting, and sustainability initiatives for field operations and project activities. This role will serve as a key liaison between project teams, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders, ensuring compliance with environmental requirements while supporting safe and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support environmental compliance programs and regulatory requirements across project activities.
  • Coordinate permits, approvals, and environmental documentation.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with environmental management plans and regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and environmental performance assessments.
  • Track, document, and report compliance activities, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate environmental standards into field operations.
  • Assist with environmental training, awareness programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support water transfer, recycling, and resource management activities where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of environmental, regulatory, or compliance experience (candidates with 2-5 years of highly relevant experience will also be considered).
  • Experience supporting construction, energy, infrastructure, or extractive industry projects.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance programs.
  • Experience managing contractors and working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, reporting tools, and data management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Water transfer and recycling experience is highly preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and project coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
