Role Overview
A globally recognised equipment supplier in heat transfer technology, with close to a century of experience delivering innovative solutions across the energy sector. Operating worldwide, they supports power and heat generation projects from design through to aftermarket services. The Supply Department is responsible for the full supply chain, including outsourced production, procurement, and logistics.
We are currently seeking an experienced Subcontract / Equipment Coordinator (Expeditor) to join the Supply team at the head office in Zoeterwoude. This role is responsible for managing supplier interactions post-purchase order and ensuring timely delivery of fabricated equipment in line with project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders (QC, Engineering, Logistics, Project Teams) after purchase order placement
- Monitor manufacturing progress, ensuring adherence to deadlines through regular updates and expediting activities
- Coordinate the full supply process to ensure delivery within schedule, budget, and specification
- Ensure timely receipt of vendor documentation in line with VDRS requirements
- Arrange inspection notifications to allow QC presence in line with ITP and purchase orders
- Manage and provide all required logistics documentation to internal teams
- Work closely with Buyers responsible for the commercial aspects of orders
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress updates to project teams
- Perform administrative activities related to order tracking and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (HBO level)
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within energy, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries
- Knowledge of contracts, quality standards, and manufacturing processes for industrial equipment
- Experience coordinating international suppliers and managing expediting activities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, organised approach and strong oversight capabilities
- Familiarity with international business environments and cultural awareness
- Proficiency in relevant software systems
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
