Location: Pasir Gudang Johor
This opportunity sits within a company operating in the energy and infrastructure environment, supporting large-scale EPCC oil and gas projects. The role focuses on expediting goods and services, coordinating supplier progress, and helping protect project delivery through effective schedule control, reporting, and stakeholder communication. This position offers the chance to contribute to procurement execution, supplier performance monitoring, and project recovery planning in a technically demanding setting.
Required Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the EPCC oil and gas industry.
- Minimum 3 years in a comparable expediting role supporting relatively large-scale projects.
- Experience expediting goods and services and monitoring supplier delivery performance against project requirements.
Required Skills:
- Ability to understand and adhere to contractual requirements associated with purchase orders.
- Experience leading kick-off meetings, expediting meetings, and supplier status review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong supplier follow-up, progress tracking, and delivery monitoring skills, including maintaining accurate records within an established database or filing system.
- Ability to conduct supplier expediting visits to verify progress and help mitigate delivery delay risks.
- Competence in preparing expediting reports and clearly communicating progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.
- Ability to identify delivery, schedule, and cost issues, escalate them appropriately, and propose practical recovery plans.
- Experience reviewing, analysing, and validating vendor progress reports.
- Ability to execute goods receipt entries in SAP when required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a professional approach to working across project teams and supplier interfaces.
