Job Purpose
- Conduct daily production surveillance activities across production facilities against approved KPIs.
- Monitor crude oil processing and produced water treatment parameters to ensure compliance with operational specifications.
- Work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to prioritize and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
- Identify and resolve process bottlenecks and technical challenges.
Key Functions & Activities
Operations Surveillance & Production Support
- Conduct routine facility and process monitoring across production facilities.
- Support achievement of daily production and water injection targets while minimizing unplanned downtime.
- Provide technical support for production troubleshooting and debottlenecking activities.
- Lead and support production enhancement and water injection optimization initiatives.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure facility issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for production-related issues and prepare investigation reports.
Troubleshooting, RCFA & Debottlenecking
- Identify facility optimization and improvement opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, availability, and production efficiency, and drive implementation through to completion.
- Participate in and conduct risk assessment studies, providing technical support to ensure safe and reliable facility operation.
Projects, Modifications & Technical Assurance
- Develop Scope of Work documents for facility modification projects and review contractors’ technical submissions and project deliverables.
- Work closely with project teams to provide operational and production expertise for oil and gas processing projects, ensuring deliverables meet facility operational requirements.
- Update and redline engineering documentation, including P&IDs and PFDs, based on field modifications and identified design discrepancies, ensuring documentation accurately reflects current plant conditions.
Process Safety & Management of Change
- Support implementation of the Management of Change (MOC) process, assess the impact of facility modifications on process safety and operations, and provide recommendations to ensure changes are executed safely and effectively.
Qualifications
Education & Knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in Oil & Gas Surface Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional Certifications
- Relevant professional certifications recognized within the oil and gas industry.
Work Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in facilities engineering, process engineering, production operations, facility surveillance, troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and opportunity identification.
- Experience participating in HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL studies.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional technical capability and academic achievement.
