This opportunity supports capital project delivery within an oil and gas environment, with a strong focus on project controls, cost analysis, scheduling, and reporting for projects in West Texas. The role sits within a Capital PMO setting and contributes across the full project life cycle, helping drive decision-making through Primavera P6, cost forecasting, earned value management, and construction progress analysis. This position also offers exposure to both office-based collaboration and travel to field locations in the Permian Basin.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Five or more years of relevant experience supporting upstream or midstream capital projects, or other industrial construction capital projects
Experience supporting schedule and cost control activities across all phases of the project life cycle
Experience preparing project and program cost reports, tracking construction costs, forecasts, EACs, variances, accruals, and reforecasts
Experience working with project managers, engineering teams, accounting teams, construction teams, contractors, and other project stakeholders
Experience in contractor performance review and support during contractor selection processes
Advanced Primavera P6 capability
Proficient in Prism
Strong project controls expertise in cost control, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Competency in earned value management
Ability to develop work breakdown structures and cost breakdown structures based on project scope
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present analysis findings and recovery plans clearly to management
Excellent attention to detail and data integrity
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to create, maintain, and distribute routine and ad hoc project reporting
Required Certifications:
Valid driver’s licence with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP
Fundamental knowledge of production, compression, pumping, treating, processing, produced water disposal facilities, and pipeline infrastructure
Understanding of industry safety principles and their application at a construction location
