Position Overview
This Field Architectural Building Engineer opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with experience in architectural building activities on complex construction site projects. The Field Architectural Building Engineer will support field architectural engineering activities on a major energy and infrastructure project, contributing to the review, coordination and delivery of building-related engineering works onsite. This position offers the chance to work within a multidisciplinary project environment where technical judgement, documentation review and coordination with specialist subcontractors are central to success. The Field Architectural Building Engineer role will appeal to candidates who can combine site-based engineering support with strong attention to design specifications, materials and structural integrity considerations.
Role Context
The role is set within the energy and infrastructure sectors and supports onsite building and module-related architectural engineering activities in a live project environment related to Carbon Capture Storage.
Key Responsibilities
Review client technical documentation and requirements, maintaining project technical files for architectural engineering activities.
Coordinate external architectural engineering subcontractor activities and check the designs produced by subcontracted architectural engineering teams.
Review design specifications and coordinate the architectural and structural design of building modules onsite.
Support structural aspects and the definition of materials, with due consideration to the structural integrity of modules and buildings.
Prepare design specifications for architectural works relating to buildings and support the preparation of specifications for civil works relevant to buildings.
Develop functional architectural layouts for buildings based on multidisciplinary input.
Prepare material specifications and architectural basis of design documentation for buildings onsite.
Support procurement through technical interface activities with architectural vendors.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
5 years of experience in architectural building activities within a construction site project environment.
Essential:
Experience within the Oil & Gas, industrial or commercial industry.
Essential:
Technical experience in material management, architectural documentation review and client relationship activities.
Essential:
Ability to coordinate architectural engineering inputs, review specifications and support multidisciplinary building design onsite.
Essential:
Full, permanent UK right-to-work status and residence in the UK.
Essential:
OEUK Medical certified
