Job Summary

This role needs to oversee electrical construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring all works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise electrical construction, installation, and hook-up activities within the shipyard.
  2. Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and project requirements.
  3. Coordinate electrical activities with construction, commissioning, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
  4. Review and verify electrical installation works for power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, lighting systems, UPS systems, grounding systems, and hazardous area installations.
  5. Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including testing, troubleshooting, and system handover.
  6. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project quality standards and HSE requirements.
  7. Identify and resolve construction and installation issues to minimize project delays.
  8. Track construction progress and provide regular reports to project management.
  9. Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, risk assessments, and safety activities.
  10. Assist with punch list management, completion activities, and final system handover.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Exposure to offshore topsides, modularized facilities, or fabrication yard environments is an advantage.
  • FSO/FPSO

    related project experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of: LV/MV Power Distribution Systems, Switchgear & Motor Control Centers (MCC), Transformers, UPS & Battery Systems, Lighting & Grounding Systems, Electrical Protection Systems, Hazardous Area Electrical Installations
  • Ability to read and interpret: Electrical Layout Drawings, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
  • Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and relevant international standards.
