Field Execution Lead (Construction/TAR)
Duration: 1 year initially with possibility of extension / go direct
Location: Sabine Pass, Texas
Rotation: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day with room for OT if needed
Role Context
This position is based at an LNG terminal brownfield facility in Sabine Pass, Texas. The role supports construction activities during the execution phase and reports to the Maintenance Projects and Turnaround Supervisor. The working environment is site-based and involves close coordination with contractors, subcontractors, project team personnel, QA/QC and commissioning support functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion on-site safety awareness and promote safe performance across contractor teams and project personnel.
- Oversee contractor construction activities during the execution phase, with focus on safety, quality, cost and schedule.
- Act as the day-to-day field interface between contractors, craft labour and site leadership.
- Support construction planning and help identify upcoming site challenges before they affect delivery.
- Monitor workforce productivity and progress against schedule.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, procedures and project plans.
- Coordinate with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues and progress matters.
- Provide oversight of contractor materials management and equipment verification after site arrival.
- Support field-level change coordination relating to scope and site execution.
- Provide site support for permitting, JSA reviews and LOTO activities.
- Assist commissioning and systems completion activities as required.
- Coordinate quality audits and other site surveillance activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of site experience across multiple construction disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical/piping, scaffolding, electrical and instrumentation and controls, and insulation/painting.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety, including familiarity with OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926 standards.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hiring.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form.
- General computer skills, including experience with Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Availability to work beyond 40 hours per week when required.
- 15+ years of relevant site experience.
- Experience in marine environments, hot and cold taps, and pile installation.
