1. ABOUT LABA
Laba Holdings Limited is the umbrella landowner company of Porebada, Boera, Papa and Rea Rea in Central Province, Papua New Guinea, and operates a group of businesses across construction, logistics, training, technology and community services.
These positions form Laba's management team for a camp construction and services package on a major resources construction project in Papua New Guinea, for a 24-month term from contract award. Appointments are subject to contract award.
2. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Finance and Administration Officer handles supplier payments, letters of credit, landed-cost reconciliation against budget, and Singapore statutory accounting and compliance. The Singapore structure is run at cost with no margin retained, and this position is what evidences that to the Client.
3.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Process supplier payments and manage letters of credit and other payment instruments to their terms.
•Reconcile actual landed cost against the budget line by line, and report variances monthly to S-1 and the Project Director.
•Maintain the Singapore books, and coordinate the statutory audit, annual return and tax filing with the corporate secretarial provider.
•Manage banking, treasury and the foreign exchange position, including any booked forward rate.
•Administer the office: serviced office, IT and communications licences, travel bookings and expense control.
•Support Employment Pass applications and Singapore employment administration for the three positions.
•Maintain the audit trail that lets the Client verify the structure is run at cost.
4.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
•Five years or more in finance and administration, with exposure to international trade payments.
•Practical experience with letters of credit and supplier payment administration.
•Bookkeeping to trial balance, and coordination of an external audit.
•Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or commerce.
•Eligible to work in Singapore, or eligible for an Employment Pass.
Desirable
•Familiarity with Singapore ACRA and IRAS filing requirements.
•Landed-cost accounting experience.
•Experience in a small office where the role covers both finance and administration.
