Role Overview:
This opportunity offers broad exposure across accounting, finance, payroll expense reporting, internal controls, and time writing support within a complex business environment. The role contributes to month-end close activity, financial analysis, reporting, and process support, with scope to work across SAP, Power BI, payroll-related accounting, and control-focused activities. This position would suit a technically strong professional who can manage detailed financial tasks, respond to operational queries, and support accurate cost reporting in a deadline-driven setting.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Required Experience:
At least 5 years of direct experience in payroll, accounting, or finance
Experience supporting month-end close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
Experience researching payroll expense and hours-related queries and producing ad hoc reporting
Experience working with internal controls and stakeholder coordination in a finance or accounting context
Required Skills:
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Strong financial acumen, including accounting principles and their relationship to payroll expense reporting
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively to month-end close deadlines
Ability to communicate financial and payroll-related issues clearly and logically to non-accounting stakeholders
Ability to take ownership of actions and follow through on commitments by established deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or CPA
Proficiency with SAP, including timewriting and general ledger functions
Experience with CATS (Cross-Application Time Sheet) and payroll close processes
Proficiency with Power BI for monitoring and reporting
Experience with Workday or equivalent HR/payroll platforms
Experience with internal controls such as ICS or SOX in a payroll or accounting context
