Job Title: FPSO Lead Rotating Engineer
Duration: 12 month initial contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Residential

Location: Initial 12 months in Paris, France; then follow project to Singapore; and latterly Geoje, South Korea
This opportunity sits within a major FPSO development in the offshore oil and gas sector, supporting detailed design, procurement, vendor package execution, and preparation for commissioning. The role offers broad technical scope across rotating equipment, EPC contractor oversight, FAT participation, and multidisciplinary interface management in an international and multi-cultural project environment. It is well suited to candidates with strong FPSO, detailed design, and rotating equipment engineering expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the rotating equipment scope and deliverables during detailed design and procurement phases.
- Supervise EPC contractor engineering activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, contract documentation, schedule, budget, and safety practices.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up preparation for rotating equipment packages.
- Drive design consistency, operability, optimisation, and flexibility across rotating equipment systems and package interfaces.
- Manage interfaces with other disciplines including process, technical safety, ICSS, HVAC, electrical, and architectural teams.
- Review engineering documentation and provide timely technical comments, clarification, and follow-up on implementation.
- Respond proactively to engineering queries, waiver requests, and unexpected technical issues to help avoid delays.
- Monitor rotating discipline studies covering technical matters, planning, costs, interfaces, and reporting.
- Maintain effective technical communication with contractor counterparts and participate in progress and review meetings.
- Promote cost-saving and schedule-optimisation solutions for rotating equipment design where appropriate.
- Report key technical issues, concerns, progress, and quality matters to project engineering leadership, with mitigation proposals where needed.
- Assist with the review of change orders, planning constraints, and technical project reviews related to the discipline.
- Verify that design modifications are properly implemented by the EPC contractor.
- Witness or participate in inspections, reception activities, and FATs for packages and equipment where required.
- Review construction deliverables to confirm alignment with project standards and requirements.
- Support supervision of equipment selection, design, installation, and hook-up activities.
- Verify that adequate as-built documentation is provided following FAT and package completion.
- Participate in construction follow-up activities and identify discipline-related anomalies, with remedial actions where required.
- Ensure installations comply with contract requirements and applicable local codes, standards, and regulations.
- Contribute to lessons learned and knowledge sharing across the project team.
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience in rotating equipment engineering field.
- With good knowledge of FPSO or similar oil and gas projects.
- Proven involvement in detailed design, including review of engineering documents, vendor packages, and interface management.
- Experience with Factory Acceptance Tests, technical bid evaluations, and vendor coordination during the engineering phase.
- Exposure to commissioning and pre-commissioning activities, including punch list clearance and system completion.
Required Skills:
- Solid knowledge of API, ISO, ASME, and other international standards.
- Ability to support technical audits, HAZOPs, and design reviews within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong capability in multidisciplinary interface management across complex offshore project scopes.
- Fluent English.
Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- French language skills are advantageous.
