Job Title:

Handover and Punch List Coordinator
Duration: 9 months
Schedule: Rotation 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off
Location: Marine Tanks and Terminal, Tanga, Tanzania

This opportunity sits within a major pipeline and export terminal development and focuses on the controlled transfer of systems, packages and operational areas from project delivery into operations. The role supports handover coordination, punch list management, operations readiness and documentation control across construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities. This position offers strong technical scope and visible impact on schedule integrity, asset integrity, safe start-up and operational acceptance.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Engineering, Technical Operations, Construction Management or another relevant discipline

Required Experience:

  • 15 to 20 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience in project execution, completions, commissioning, handover, operations readiness or terminal and facility start-up

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary handover activities between project teams and operations

  • Experience managing documentation status, readiness reviews, handover registers and punch list close-out processes on complex industrial facilities

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and project-to-operations handover processes

  • Good knowledge of construction and commissioning dossiers, inspection and test records, as-built dossiers, vendor documentation and exception management

  • Experience with punch list philosophies, close-out workflows and readiness review practices used on oil and gas projects

  • Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, equipment lists, system boundaries and document registers

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common project database and document management tools

  • Strong planning, coordination and follow-up capability with high attention to detail and disciplined records management

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills in a multicultural business environment

  • Fluency in English, written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in commissioning, completions management, document control or project controls

  • Experience in terminal, refinery, petrochemical, pipeline, marine or other hydrocarbon processing or export facilities

  • Experience with completions or turnover systems
