Job Title: Hardware Test Engineer
Duration: 6 months 
Schedule: Full time 
Location: Luxembourg

This opportunity sits within a global engineering, technology and consulting business with more than 50 years of experience across complex product development, manufacturing process optimisation and information systems quality. The role supports innovative automotive electronics and e-mobility hardware, with a strong focus on functional hardware testing, compliance testing, test automation and technical problem-solving. This position offers the chance to contribute to high-value product validation and cross-functional issue resolution in a technically advanced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop product functional test plans for compliance testing.
  • Develop hardware test setups and improve test bench capability.
  • Perform manual functional testing of products on a hardware bench.
  • Contribute to the automation of hardware tests.
  • Define and validate new test software functions.
  • Track test progress and report on results.
  • Manage and resolve hardware defects.
  • Provide technical support for environmental and electromagnetic compatibility validation activities.
  • Support manufacturing teams in setting up production changes.
  • Analyse customer issues and internal issue tickets, reproduce faults where possible, and coordinate resolution.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field (Required)
  • DGUV 200-006 Level 2 & 3 High-Voltage qualification, or equivalent (Required)

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive electronics or e-mobility hardware.

Required Skills:

  • Strong foundation in embedded hardware systems and analog electronics.
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly.
  • Fluent English.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve shared objectives.
  • Clear and confident communication, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.
  • Positive, cooperative and team-oriented approach that supports effective collaboration.

Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • German language skills are advantageous.
  • French language skills are advantageous.
