Job Title: Home Office Construction Manager
Duration: 4 months
Location: Villeurbanne, Lyon, France

This opportunity supports a home office construction function within a complex industrial project environment, with responsibility for construction preparation, supervision coordination, and constructability review activity. The position offers broad technical exposure across multiple disciplines, working closely with construction, planning, contracts, and project stakeholders. It will suit candidates with strong experience in industrial construction, scheduling support, and deliverable development within petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or gas sector projects.

Required Education:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or General Engineering

Required Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or gas industry
  • Strong experience in construction preparation and supervision across all disciplines
  • Experience supporting construction planning, sequencing, and duration development
  • Experience producing construction preparation deliverables, including organisational charts, management planning, temporary construction facilities, and construction procedures
  • Experience interfacing with home office departments, site construction teams, and clients in a project environment

Required Skills:

  • Ability to analyse construction contractor bids, provide technical recommendations, and support clarification activities
  • Knowledge of modularisation
  • Ability to collect discipline quantities and productive construction hours
  • Ability to organise, prepare, facilitate, and follow up on constructability reviews
  • Familiarity with IT tools and databases
  • Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Project and supplier database management, including PDB, VDB, Gaia, Outlook, and Teams
  • French language capability
  • English language capability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with a major engineering contractor environment
