Job Title: HSAQ Engineer
Duration: 1 year minimum to 4 years
Schedule: Residential
Location: Luanda, Angola

This opportunity supports brownfield offshore oil and gas projects across multiple assets and developments in Angola, providing HSAQ support throughout the project lifecycle from engineering and construction through commissioning, start-up and handover to operations. The role offers the opportunity to work within a complex project environment involving EPC contractors, FPSO modifications, offshore installation campaigns and SIMOPS activities. It is ideally suited to professionals with strong HSE management experience, contractor oversight capability and a proactive approach to safety culture, operational readiness and continuous improvement.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or higher qualification.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas production projects.
  • Experience supporting HSE activities during project execution, construction, commissioning and start-up phases.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors, offshore operations and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Experience conducting or participating in audits, inspections, risk assessments and contractor HSE surveillance activities.
  • Experience working within multicultural and international project environments.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, methods and reporting.
  • Good understanding of Oil & Gas process and construction practices.
  • Strong occupational safety knowledge and commitment to promoting a positive safety culture.
  • Ability to perform field safety inspections, worksite controls and contractor HSE oversight.
  • Ability to support operational readiness activities, including mobilisations, offshore campaigns, shutdowns, commissioning and start-up.
  • Strong communication, reporting and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Power BI.
  • Fluent English and Portuguese, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
  • Proactive, autonomous and collaborative approach to HSE performance improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HSE standards, procedures and referential.
  • French language skills.
  • Previous experience supporting brownfield offshore projects executed in SIMOPS environments.
