This is an excellent opportunity to join a major onshore wind project in Romania, supporting the management and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental standards across construction activities. The role offers hands-on involvement in HSE audits, compliance monitoring, incident investigations, and risk assessments, providing valuable exposure within a complex renewable energy project. You will be responsible for supporting audit activities, monitoring corrective actions, and reporting on HSE performance metrics to the wider project team and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct quarterly HSE audits of contractor operations from the commencement of construction through to substantial completion.
  • Prepare audit reports covering non-conformities, opportunities for improvement, recommended corrective actions and good practices observed.
  • Communicate audit findings to responsible contractor teams and track corrective action close-out through the monthly progress meeting cycle.
  • Participate in site inspections and observation walks alongside the Construction Manager in line with the Principal Monitoring Schedule.
  • Support the review of contractor HSE documentation before work starts, including HSMPs, ERPs, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Attend weekly and monthly Health and Safety Committee meetings and contribute to agenda preparation and minutes review.
  • Provide specialist HSE advice to the project team on regulatory compliance, incident investigation methodology and risk management.
  • Support preparation of HSE performance summaries for senior project reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Strong capability in HSE auditing within contractor operations, ideally experience in Onshore Wind projects or similar Renewable Energy projects 
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, incident investigation methodology and risk management.
  • Ability to review HSE documentation including HSMPs, ERPs, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Clear written communication for audit reports, findings and corrective action recommendations.
  • Effective collaboration with project teams, contractors and site leadership.
