Airswift is looking for an HSSE Advisor - Night Shift to work for a major LNG company in the Port Isabel, TX, for an initial 12-months assignment.
 

This opportunity offers the chance to support a major LNG construction project in a complex site environment, with a strong focus on HSSE compliance, incident prevention, and continuous improvement. The role works across field and office settings, partnering closely with contractors and project teams to promote safe execution of work and strengthen health, safety, security, and environmental performance. This company is seeking a technically strong professional who can provide visible field support, conduct audits, and help drive a zero-accident culture.

Required Education:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Safety & Health or other related technical/science field, or equivalent work experience

Required Experience:

  • 5 years’ HSSE experience working on large capital Oil & Gas Projects
  • Broad experience implementing HSSE Management Systems
  • Experience supporting field-based construction activities in a complex construction environment
  • Experience reviewing contractor and subcontractor HSSE programmes and validating compliance
  • Experience supporting or leading incident investigations and developing lessons learned where applicable

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Federal general industry and construction safety requirements including PSM (Process Safety Management)
  • Ability to audit worksites, observe employees, and determine compliance with HSSE policies and procedures
  • Ability to prepare audit findings, records, reports, and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to provide technical expertise on health and safety compliance and regulatory programmes
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capability to help field personnel identify, investigate, address, and mitigate HSSE issues
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, public speaking, facilitation, and presentation communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to quickly review documentation for accuracy and relevance
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments on a timely basis
  • Ability to influence individuals at all levels of an organisation and work effectively with contract partners
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, and enter confined spaces as required to complete safety audits and assess job site hazards
  • Ability to clearly communicate with others via radio, phone, and verbal methods
  • Ability to wear mandatory PPE equipment to perform job functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in HSSE on Greenfield LNG construction projects
  • Experience working in HSSE on owner/client Greenfield LNG construction projects
  • Bilingual English / Spanish
