HSSE Manager - The Hague
Lead HSSE on one of Europe's most significant carbon capture and storage projects.
Our client a leading energy infrastructure company is seeking an experienced HSSE Manager to play a critical leadership role within a major CO? transport infrastructure development supporting the energy transition and long-term decarbonisation of European industry.
The Role
As HSSE Manager, you will establish and oversee all Health, Safety, Security & Environment activities throughout the project lifecycle.
You will ensure the project is designed and delivered according to the ALARP principle while protecting people, assets, the environment and the project's reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSSE strategy, policy and procedures.
- Lead risk assessments, HSE studies and HAZOP reviews.
- Drive safety leadership and cultural improvement initiatives.
- Manage environmental compliance, permitting and impact assessments.
- Oversee contractor and supplier HSSE performance.
- Deliver audits, inspections and assurance activities.
- Support development of the Joint Venture HSE Management System.
- Integrate environmental and security considerations into project execution.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Engineering or another technical discipline.
- Minimum 15 years' relevant HSSE experience.
- At least 10 years' site-based project experience.
- Experience within large-scale industrial, energy, pipeline, offshore, EPC or infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record developing HSE management systems and safety culture programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Fluent English; Dutch beneficial but not essential.
