.We're supporting a major offshore energy infrastructure project in the search for an experienced HVAC Lead Inspector to oversee verification, supplier surveillance, FATs, construction inspections, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities across a large-scale offshore converter platform project.

Wcting as the technical authority for HVAC inspection activities from early design verification through to commissioning and offshore hook-up phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HVAC quality assurance and inspection activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review contractor documentation, verification plans, ITPs, FAT procedures, and test documentation.
  • Witness Factory Acceptance Tests for HVAC equipment including AHUs, chillers, fans, fire dampers, cooling units, weather louvres, and dry coolers.
  • Conduct supplier surveillance and quality inspections at international manufacturing facilities.
  • Coordinate and lead HVAC inspection teams during fabrication and construction activities.
  • Verify HVAC ductwork, piping, supports, equipment installation, preservation, and commissioning readiness.
  • Manage NCRs, corrective actions, punch list items, and quality documentation.
  • Participate in mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, harbour acceptance testing, and offshore commissioning activities.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree or technical qualification in HVAC, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in HVAC QA/QC inspection, testing, commissioning, or verification activities.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience on offshore, marine, shipbuilding, offshore substation, HVDC, or oil & gas projects.
  • Proven experience witnessing HVAC FATs, ductwork leak testing, TAB activities, and HVAC commissioning.
  • Previous experience leading and coordinating inspection teams.
  • Valid work and travel eligibility for Europe and the UAE.
  • Willingness to travel globally and undertake long-term assignment work in Dubai and offshore locations.

Desirable:

  • Experience on HVDC converter platforms or offshore substations.
  • Previous Owner's Engineer / Owner's Representative experience.
  • NEBB, TABB, BSRIA, EU F-Gas or VDI 6022 certifications.
  • Experience with DNV certification requirements and offshore commissioning campaigns.
