Job Title:

 ICCS Instrumentation Lead
Duration: 10 months
Schedule: Full-time (Monday-Friday)
Location: Paris, France

This opportunity supports a major carbon capture and power project and focuses on home office preparation followed by site execution across pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities. The role offers involvement in instrumentation, control systems, telecom, analyzers and operational testing within a highly technical EPC environment. This position is well suited to candidates with strong commissioning leadership experience and the ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines.

Required Experience:

  • Proven home office and site execution experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning for instrumentation and control systems.

  • Experience with PLC, fire and gas systems, telecom systems, analyzers, operational testing, start-up of machinery, and plant operations.

  • Background working on complex industrial projects involving steam generating boilers, steam turbines, gas turbines and mechanical drives.

  • Experience coordinating with electrical, piping and mechanical engineering disciplines for design checks and document quality.

  • Proven team leadership experience on previous projects, including supervision of commissioning teams and contractors through project phases.

  • Experience supporting system walk-downs, construction dossier review, punch list management and final handover readiness.

Required Skills:

  • Strong capability in preparing and updating commissioning strategies, procedures, method statements, technical studies, loop check documentation and functional test preparation.

  • Ability to supervise field testing of instrumentation, control systems and analyzers, validate test results and support technical issue resolution during commissioning stages.

  • Knowledge of commissioning sequence planning, energisation activities, systemisation and discipline interfaces related to utilities tie-ins, line cleaning and functional prerequisites.

  • Ability to identify temporary instrumentation needs, vendor support requirements, commissioning spares and consumables to support safe and effective execution.

  • Strong leadership, organisation, communication, coaching and mentoring skills.

  • Fluent English with strong communication skills.

  • Knowledge of MS Office, PDF or Bluebeam, and 3D model tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work from the company’s Paris office on a working from home basis during home office preparation.

  • Knowledge of completion tools such as Icaps, Easyplant or similar systems.
