Position Overview

This Instructional Designer opportunity is suited to a technically strong learning professional with experience creating engaging training solutions across digital and instructor-led formats. The Instructional Designer will support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training and performance improvement initiatives under the direction of management. This Instructional Designer role offers the chance to work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to deliver learning content that supports business objectives. The Instructional Designer will play an important part in improving learner experience through well-structured, high-quality training materials and resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyse learning and performance needs and recommend effective learning solutions.

  • Design and develop engaging curricula, course content, storyboards, assessments, learner resources, and job aids.

  • Create online learning modules, live web-based training sessions, instructor-led training guides, and supporting materials using appropriate instructional strategies.

  • Review, evaluate, and refine learning solutions based on stakeholder feedback, learner performance data, and business requirements.

  • Maintain corporate training matrices and support the ongoing improvement of training and performance initiatives.

  • Support learning management administration, including course upload and management, content validation, learner assignments, attendance tracking, and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential:

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training, Education, Science, Engineering, Business, a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.

  • Essential:

    Minimum five years of experience in the development and/or delivery of technical training programmes.

  • Essential:

    Experience with eLearning software such as Articulate Storyline.

  •  Essential: Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Essential:

    Strong instructional design skills, including learning needs analysis, curriculum development, and the application of adult learning principles.

  • Essential:

    Proficient knowledge of Articulate 360 and strong skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Desirable:

    Camtasia, and Vyond.

  • Desirable:

    Experience in corporate compliance training.

  • Desirable:

    Working knowledge of Cornerstone OnDemand or a similar learning management system.
