Job Title: Instrument and Electrical Technician II
Duration: W2 contract 12 months (possibility for extension)

This opportunity supports maintenance and reliability activities within an oil and gas processing environment, with a focus on electrical systems, instrumentation systems, and controls. The role involves testing, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and support for safe and efficient production equipment performance. This position offers the chance to contribute across operations, engineering, and project teams while working in a technically demanding maintenance setting.
Required Education:
- Associate degree.
Required Experience:
- Experience maintaining electrical systems and instruments and controls in a processing plant or offshore production plant environment.
- Experience supporting maintenance and troubleshooting of instrument and electrical systems.
- Experience working within oil and gas facility operations and maintenance activities.
Required Skills:
- Ability to install and maintain electrical and instrument equipment in line with rules, standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Ability to test and repair electrical and instrumentation systems used by production equipment to maintain performance and product quality.
- Knowledge of regulations applicable to oil and gas facility operations.
- Understanding of OIMS systems, related manuals, and procedures.
- Ability to apply and follow work permits through a Permit To Work System.
- Capability to support control specifications and work practices.
- Ability to generate Management of Change requests for electrical and control-related equipment and follow up with installation inspections.
- Ability to construct, monitor, and inspect new installations and recommend upgrades where needed.
- Computing skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication, organisational, reporting, and attention to detail skills.
- Commitment to safe working practices and effective teamwork across operations, engineering, and projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Related technical school courses.
