BASIC SKILLS
- A high-level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Significant experience on commissioning of telecoms equipment is essential.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Higher education and an extensive controls system equipment commissioning experience base is essential.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience of effectively interfacing and working together with Design / Construction and Commissioning Contractors and Operations entities.
- Experience with HSSE issues related to on-site activities.
- Deep understanding of bp Construction & Commissioning Defined Practices (or similar) for both Greenfield and Brownfield projects and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality.
- Experience with diverse work forces would be highly desirable
RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES
- Demonstrate personal HSSE leadership and consistently display excellent HSE behaviours at all times, ensuring that safety expectations are clearly communicated and rigorously maintained.
- Review and comment on Engineering/Commissioning contractors’ documents, provide commissioning perspective to Design.
- Attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s).
- Input into the compilation of Commissioning Test Procedures.
- Input into the required SPILs for the ICSS equipment.
- Assist in the creation of the Control Systems LOSH/LOSSH.
- Respond to engineering site queries where clarification of design is required and liaise with Eng contractor where an Engineering response to TQ’s is required.
- Fully conversant with client’s System Handover Management requirements.
- Input into the development and compilation of relevant ITR’s.
- Witnessing and acceptance of Site Acceptance Tests.
- Responsible for the validation and verification of the SIS requirements as detailed within the safety system lifecycle plan and the SIS Commissioning & Validation procedure.
- Comply with client's competency guidelines for IEC 61511.
- Comply with IEC61511 mandatory SIS Functional Safety Assessments, manage the SIF testing and prepare the SIF packs for the FSA stage 3 audit.
- Be fully conversant with and control ICSS software changes in accordance with project software change control procedure.
- Responsible for the safety & management of all ICSS commissioning personnel and vendors reps under their control when on-site.
- Ensuring all ICSS Commissioning personnel carryout their work and are fully trained in accordance with site PTW procedures.
