Job Title: Instrumental Planner
Duration: 1 year
Schedule: 5 days/8 hours (40h/week)
Location: Sabine Pass, TX (On-site)

This opportunity is focused on maintenance planning and scheduling within an oil and gas or petrochemical terminal environment. The role supports maintenance and reliability programmes, work order development, backlog management, and outage planning, with a strong emphasis on SAP S/4HANA, instrumentation, and schedule compliance. This position offers the chance to contribute to efficient execution, regulatory support, and long-range planning in a technically demanding site-based setting.

Required Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

Required Experience:

  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience using SAP within oil and gas or petrochemical facilities.
  • Strong background in instrumentation planning, including hands-on field experience.
  • Experience planning maintenance and reliability programmes, creating job packs, and developing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and long-range schedules.

Required Skills:

  • Heavy working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, and execution processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ability to create and maintain project and outage plans using planning software.
  • Capability to coordinate work orders and schedules with operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Experience identifying material requirements and interfacing with vendors or supply chain teams as needed.
  • Strong reporting and analysis capability, including KPI development, schedule compliance tracking, and trend analysis.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritisation, and detail-oriented working skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, support team performance, and operate with limited direction.

Required Certifications:

  • Ability to maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status (Required).
  • Current valid state-issued driver’s licence (Required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree or similar.
  • Primavera P6 experience.
  • Prometheus experience.
  • Scheduling software definition and build experience.
  • Experience with scaffolding, painting, insulating, heavy equipment operation, rigging and lifting crafts, welding, fabrication, machining work estimation, and planning.
  • Experience working in a PHMSA regulated pipeline facility.
  • Experience with gas compression and metering equipment.
