This opportunity sits within an offshore oil and gas engineering environment, supporting the design and delivery of instrumentation and control systems for FPSO projects. The role focuses on safe, high-quality technical solutions across process control, ICSS, fire and gas, and telecom systems, while also contributing to technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering
Required Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore oil and gas instrumentation engineering
- Strong experience with FPSO systems and marine instrumentation
- Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues and deliver discipline requirements with a high level of technical independence
- Experience acting as a technical lead, discipline lead, consultant, or mentor within engineering teams
Required Skills:
- Strong technical capability in the design, specification, integration, and delivery of process control and instrumentation systems
- Experience with Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS), Fire and Gas Systems, and Telecommunication Systems
- Proficiency in Smart Plant Instrumentation and AVEVA tools
- Deep understanding of hazardous area design
- Knowledge of functional safety principles and standards including IEC 61508 and IEC 61511
- Ability to support knowledge sharing, technical mentoring, and the application of engineering best practices
- Fluency in communicative English
