Job Title: Inventory Recovery Specialist

This opportunity sits within a refinery environment and focuses on inventory control, material recovery, and inventory reconciliation across warehouse, yard, and operating-area locations. The role supports accurate stock visibility, recovery of surplus and unused materials, and resolution of discrepancies within materials management processes. This position offers broad exposure to warehouse operations, maintenance, procurement, project teams, and operations in a technically demanding industrial setting.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, investment recovery, supply chain, or a related role.
- Experience researching and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Knowledge of warehouse and material-management processes, including receiving, issuing, transferring, returning, and reconciling materials.
- Ability to work effectively across warehouse, maintenance, operations, procurement, and project functions.
- Comfortable working in both office and field or warehouse environments.
Required Skills:
- Strong inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, physical verification, and documentation skills.
- Ability to identify, locate, and recover surplus, unused, excess, or unaccounted-for materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to maintain accurate records for recovered, relocated, and dispositioned inventory.
- Ability to comply with refinery safety, security, environmental, and site procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Refinery, petrochemical, chemical plant, or other heavy industrial experience.
- Experience with SAP or another ERP or inventory management system.
- SAP inventory or materials management experience.
- MRO materials or refinery warehouse experience.
- Turnaround or project materials experience.
- Experience with surplus materials, investment recovery, scrap, or material disposition.
- Familiarity with refinery equipment, parts, and industrial materials.
- TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
