Airswift is searching for a Jetty Supervisor to support a major offshore energy project in Paramaribo, Suriname.
Location: Paramaribo, Suriname
Rotation: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off
Contract Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension
The Jetty Supervisor will be responsible for managing all quay, jetty and wharf operations at a logistics base supporting offshore drilling, development, production, exploration and appraisal activities. The role will act as the focal point for all vessel movements and marine logistics operations while ensuring safe, efficient and compliant execution of port activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage vessel berthing, loading, unloading, bunkering and backloading operations.
- Coordinate quay-side activities with marine, warehouse, trucking, tubular yard and service company personnel.
- Support offshore logistics operations involving drillships, PSVs, AHTS and installation vessels.
- Coordinate work with third-party contractors operating at the logistics base.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, lifting procedures and operational standards.
- Verify cargo documentation, manifests, dangerous goods declarations and shipping records.
- Maintain accurate records of material and vessel movements.
- Coordinate simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and ensure operational readiness of personnel and equipment.
- Work closely with the Authorized Person for Lifting Operations (APLO) to assess competencies and training requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3–5 years of Oil & Gas industry experience with practical exposure to quay, jetty, wharf or marine logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of lifting, cargo handling and storage techniques.
- Experience with pipe yard, trucking and warehousing operations.
- Knowledge of SAP MM module.
- Knowledge of Kabal software is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- French and/or Dutch is a plus.
