This opportunity focuses on laboratory and field maintenance support within an oilfield and petrochemical operations environment. The role is centred on sampling, analytical testing, facility support, and asset integrity activities, with responsibility for data reporting through LabVantage (LIMS) and Business Objects. This position offers varied technical exposure across laboratory analysis, field sampling, corrosion monitoring support, and day-to-day maintenance tasks in a remote operating environment.

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of direct oilfield or petrochemical operations experience.
  • Ability to work independently on 12-hour shifts without supervision.
  • Experience supporting facility systems, field sampling, analytical monitoring, or related operational activities.

Required Skills:

  • Strong capability in sampling and analysis of production facility systems including gas, water, oil, glycols, and custody transfer crude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use LabVantage (LIMS) and Business Objects for analytical data reporting and data quality checks.
  • Ability to read and interpret meters, gauges, and written instructions.
  • Ability to work under a respiratory protection plan, differentiate colours, and perform technical tasks independently.
  • Practical ability to support drill site and facility maintenance, including pigging assistance, flange management activities, equipment inspection, tooling support, inventory handling, and general housekeeping.

Required Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s licence (Required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or another science discipline with coursework in general chemistry and analytical chemistry.
  • Two or more years of laboratory testing experience in the petrochemical industry.
  • Two or more years of oilfield operations, roustabout, field maintenance, or mechanical support experience.
  • Experience working in remote or Arctic operating locations.
  • Ability to identify historical trends from large datasets.
  • Experience performing ad hoc bench chemistry testing to classify unknown samples.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Instrument certifications obtained through completion of industry-supplied technical training (Preferred).
  • Training and experience in flange management.
  • Experience with material handling, rigging, and lifting operations.
  • Experience performing facility maintenance, equipment inspections, and minor repairs.
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with snow removal, winterisation activities, and working in severe weather conditions.
  • Intermediate proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs and isometric drawings.
