About the Role
This is an onsite role in a gas plant at Longford VIC on a 12-months’ contract, Monday to Friday, 5 days a week.
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible in providing accurate and reliable analytical and scientific support to operations at Longford, offshore assets, and other business functions.
This role also supports external customers by ensuring laboratory activities are completed to the highest quality, safety, and integrity standards.
Responsibilities:
Collect samples from both onsite and offsite locations.
Conduct laboratory testing and sample analysis.
Perform routine laboratory housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
Generate reports and maintain accurate records using computer-based systems.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company quality, integrity, and safety standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory environment.
Ideal Candidate Criteria:
A Science degree (highly regarded).
A current driver's licence (preferred).
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
A strong commitment to safety and quality outcomes.
