RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development of engineering deliverables and schedule for Marine System for candidate tanker refurbishment/ conversion ensure safe, fit-for-purpose, robust and cost-effective floating offshore facilities design and operation.
- Lead the development of marine system design and operation philosophy, basis of design, functional specification and SOW for MSQ / RFQ of marine engineering sub-contracting services.
- Lead the execution of all engineering deliverables as per project planning and schedule.
- Interface with Client’s and DDE Contractor for marine discipline ? Carry out follow on engineering at the conversion yard
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience in engineering design of marine system for floating offshore facilities OR minimum 10 years of relevant work experience as Marine Engineer onboard Oil Tanker, including:
- Specific experience in tanker conversion is required
- Previous experience in managing marine equipment packages
- Experience working in shipyard for follow on engineering scope
QUALIFICATION:
- Relevant recognized qualifications – Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Marine or other related engineering) discipline OR Class 1 or 2 Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency Foreign Going Unlimited.
- Preference: Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate / Registered with relevant professional body.
