Lead Piping Engineer (Open to Expat)

Role Summary
The Lead Piping Engineer will be responsible for leading all piping engineering activities for a major onshore oil & gas development project. The role oversees piping design, plant layout, 3D modelling, contractor management, and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces to ensure safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose project execution from detailed engineering through construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead piping engineering and design activities for the onshore facilities package.
- Manage plant layout development, piping routing, 3D model reviews, and stress analysis coordination.
- Review and approve key engineering deliverables including plot plans, piping layouts, isometrics, MTOs, support drawings, and tie-in lists.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate interfaces with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Construction, and Operations teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in a Lead Piping Engineer or equivalent leadership role.
- 10-15 years' experience within the oil & gas industry.
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
- Fluent English communication skills.
